I have a 5000+ amd 64 and when I run the SSE3 version of 5649 64bit, it does nothing. For that matter I even downloaded the 5636 version, and it does nothing aswell. Same as dude above, I'm using win 7 64bit

Looks like I can't use Intel's IPP library. 06-12-2010, 01:25 PM

I found out that it seems to be most of the 64b versions, as I even tried a 5460 64bit sse3 and it wouldnt load, but the 32 bit version of 5460 sse3 loaded. so it seems atleast majority of the sse3 64bit that i checked dont work.
testing the new 64b build now just tested 5649 sse3 64bit, still no luck (06-12-2010, 01:25 PM)eddiewattz Wrote: I found out that it seems to be most of the 64b versions, as I even tried a 5460 64bit sse3 and it wouldnt load, but the 32 bit version of 5460 sse3 loaded. so it seems atleast majority of the sse3 64bit that i checked dont work. Is it just the SSE3 versions or all instruction set versions? Can somebody test the other SSE types? If it's just the SSE3, I'm not sure I'll be able to fix it. If it's all of them, I'm probably using the wrong library. EDIT: If it is just the SSE3, I might know what it is... Ok, R5649x64_SSE3_V3 Uploaded EDIT: and removed (didn't work) If this one doesn't work, I've got one other I'd like to test (building now) before spending a great deal of time trying to figure out what I did wrong. Do you get any errors when you run it? What doesn't load? Does the program just not run at all? Does the program load but not the games? EDIT: Oy, build finished, but I forgot to disable precompiled headers and it failed. Rebuilding... 06-12-2010, 02:26 PM
hehe, sorry I wasnt more desciptive. When you run them, no errors pop up or anything, you double click the exe and it just doesnt load up. I noticed when I double click my original working dolphin exe, I get the circle spinning mouse icon for about 1 sec before the program pops up on the screen. However when I double click one of your exes, it the circle mouse icon thing flashes quickly and then nothing happens

However when I double click one of your exes, it the circle mouse icon thing flashes quickly and then nothing happens That's really interesting. Not running at all. That almost guarantees that I was using the wrong library. Almost. What happens if you try to run a 32bit app on your computer? Under the x64 platform, I had the x86 executables directory. I understood that as having to execute on my computer and since it was x86, the x64 excecutables would not run on my comp, but I guess I was mistaken. This next build will have the x64 executables instead of the x86. I always wondered about that, but no one had said anything until now. Of course, if this does not work, I did think of one other setting that may be the problem. If it gets to that point that that isn't the problem either, I may end up formating my hard drive and installing 64 bit on it just so that I'd be able to test the files locally and more quickly as I'd be running ever possible configuration through until I found a working one. Hopefully this next one will work though. EDIT: Alright, R5649x64_SSE3 Version 4 Uploaded and ready to test (crosses fingers). Download here: EDIT: link removed (didn't work on amd). |
