2 in 1 controller problem?

I just sold all the crap away. It seems that the stuff worked on real wii because I didn't get any negative feedback from the buyer.
So we can't come to any other conclusion than that Dolphin is picky about remotes you use. You must use the originals. I wonder why that is the case.
