Hello everyone,
First I want to thank the dolphin development team. Thanks a lot dudes. I really appreciate your work on this project.
I searched the old posts and seems the forum never had a topic about sengoku basara on wii. I've being playing this game (Sengoku basara 2 & Heroes, since it's a double pack) on dolphin for a while. And I want to share what I know about this game.
My PC: Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E7200 @2.53GHZ , 2GB Ram
My system: Win XP SP3
First is the graphic. The graphic is beautiful, especially when the antialias option is on. However, seems the battle scenes (ground and buildings) disappears randomly, fortunately with the little map on the top right corner, you may still find your way...
Second, the sound, both the character voice and BGM works perfectly. Never found a problem with it.
Third, is the speed that most of people may concern since it's a 3D game. The speed is not bad most of the time, fluctuate form 23FPS to 37FPS. However, when there're many enemies appears on one screen or when there's a large battle scene, the speed drop to about 20FPS. Tournament mode is an exception, the speed is almost perfect since the stage is small and building free.
Lastly, the problems that I encountered: First the game crashes very often when you choosing the character skills if you deselect the "Enable other audio" Option. As you probably know that by deselect this option, you also disabled the speed limit, which causes the problem.
Second major problem is that this game requires "classic controller connected", I believe the wiimote's emulation isn't complete at the moment. The game desync with wiimote soon ( about 20-30secs) after you leave the game unattended. If it happens, you're not able to control the game and have to restart. So don't spend too much time on enjoying the ending CG, watch it in gallery mode after you clear and save the game...
Third problem, which do not happen often, is that the game crash randomly. I'm not sure about the reason.
Ok that's what I've found about this game. I look forward to any progress on dolphin towards perfection.
If you've played this game on dolphin, feel free to throw your opinion or questions on this thread. If you haven't, I recon you have a go.
