The black scenes problem is a projection issue in fact. The same affects Big Brain Academy. Probably fixing the projection fixes both games or more, I don't know. And this projection issue is in the code for ages, ever been. But well, it is Metroid now, so maybe the devs are inclined to find a solution. Meanwhile, play it on your Wii consoles.

hmmm, interesting...I guess none of the present projection hacks will work here, huh?

No, none of the current ones. Maybe someone finds a <hackysh> way to another projection that maybe works. I've done this before when RE:Remake had problems like the main door of the mansion not showing properly. But I'm not even a programer yet. I'm at the basics of C++ and don't have much time. But I'm trying somethings here by pure logic. Maybe I have success, maybe not.^^
hey, for those who are experiencing random crashes, are you using x64 version of dolphin? try to use x86 version instead, it worked for me ! no more crashes so far! ps: sorry for my bad english :p

Hi again guys, sorry to be a nuisance I'm not exactly a Dolphin pro user... I've been contemplating on going out to the shops and buying this for Dolphin but I'm not too sure if the emulation is perfect or not... can anyone confirm?

It will probably never perfect (no emu or console..) but if you find a neat spot between stability, speed and graphics you can get it to work pretty well. Of course, this is not that reliable considering everything is different if you have different hardware, software, settings etc.. Anyway, if you half-modern computer, time, energy and some PC knowledge I would certainly do it.

Just a quick one guys, having issues getting the game to boot with dual core enabled.gets to the first screen ( shows holding the pad sideways for metroid ) and then the framerate drops to 0 and goes black.disabling dual core and it's fine bit I will obviously be losing performance
All other games are fine and dx is updated and I'm running the newest build ( plus tried some of the other recent ones) any suggestions? 09-06-2010, 05:09 AM
For people that say they get stuck in the elevator going to sector 2...I'm using Dolphin RV 6137 by that guy umm electrode or something? lol well the thing is if I have Enable safe texture cache to anything like safe, normal or fast it gets stuck in the elevator, if I leave that option OFF it works fine...so try that it could fix the issue, I havent gotten stuck anywhere and am well past that point..
