I enabled it with custom projection hack -> settings -> twilight princess bloom hack. Closed the properites and started the game, no difference.
does work on the wii version though, but i despise controls of the wii. Is it no possible to use on the GC? 01-20-2012, 08:35 AM
This is how the game is supposed to look, dolphin is emulated the bloom effect that is used in certain areas properly.
Neither of those youtube videos had any areas that are supposed to have bloom (mainly twilight areas). Not to mention they are using older versions of dolphin. Wait...the game intro is supposed to have bloom and that was shown in the first video. And sure enough that area had the "glow" you describe (which is called bloom) as well as the blur, so I don't know what the hell you're talking about. Dolphin is supposed to produce that bloom effect. However if you want a broken build that will not emulate it the texture cache rewrite builds do not emulate the effect at all. Just make sure to use one of those builds and set efb copy to texture. 7719 should be a texture cache rewrite build if I'm not mistaken: http://www.dolphin-emu.org/download.html?list=6

I was playing the US version of this game for a while without problems (Dolphin Ver. 3.0), but now, i have encountered a strange memorycard problem. Currently, i am at Lake Hylia and there is this segment, where i have to call one of those black birds to fly through the Canyon and collect the light from the Twilight Bugs. After that, i wanted to save the game, but then it suddenly said: "unable to save" - All savedata was gone, but after restarting the emulator it was back again.
Then i switched to Version 3.0-373 and transfered my data from the folders. Now i was able to save the game. Then i defeated the lake boss, the light was restored and Link transformed back to human. I saved the game again, but when i continued later, my last savedata wasn't there. Instead, my old savegames were there (before the Canyon), even though the status message on my last save clearly said, the data was written to 'MemoryCardA.USA.raw'. I don't get it. Where did the emulator take my old data from when the file was overwritten with a new save? My system: Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 @ 2,66 Ghz AMD Radeon HD 5750 512 MB 4 GB DDR2 RAM Windows 7 Professional 32bit 01-22-2012, 03:52 AM

A Memory Card file has a header backup section; when doing a save, the program should copy the existing file info to the backup section first. If anything goes wrong during the save the old file info will be restored. Maybe Dolphin gets it mixed up sometimes.
So I have this weird issue of non-existant mini-map.
How to fix this? Everything is perfect, except missing minimap. KeithMarshall Wrote:umm...excuse me? 01-22-2012, 09:14 AM
Is EFB to RAM checked? What revision?

What revision? It was checked all the time, I've been through the Goron mines already with 0 issues, with RAM or Texture, doesn't change a damn thing for me. EDIT: I don't necessarily need the minimap, but there are a few areas in the game that I can't go trough blindfolded, and I hate pulling the big map screen up all the time. EDIT 2: Sorry, forgot to add revision... I'm using the latest 3.0-373. My specs: Intel Core i5 2430M @ 2.4GHz (up to 3.0 GHz with ITBT) Sandy Bridge GF GT 540M 4GB DDR3 @ 1.3k MHz Oh and yeah, it's a laptop, still getting full speed everywhere. EDIT 3: So I just tried disabling the Bloom Fix Hack and the minimap showed up. Now the game looks like crap though... KeithMarshall Wrote:umm...excuse me? 01-22-2012, 03:05 PM
We need your exact settings, including the video backend. You should not have to use the bloom hack.

Yeah, sorry about being lazy to answer, I fixed it and ended up playing for 6 hours straight. Basically I just disabled the bloom hack. And now the map shows up perfectly. I was only imagining that it looks worse, actually, nothing changed. The minimap is quite garbled though. Any fix for that except AA? KeithMarshall Wrote:umm...excuse me? |
