The game doesn't seem to detect the Classic Controller and still relies on movement input - a bug?

5.0-681 is ancient at this point. Get latest dev build and try again.
Rig 1: Windows 10 Home | AMD A6-1450 @ 600/1000/1400 MHz | AMD Radeon HD Graphics 8250 | 4GB RAM | HP Pavilion TouchSmart 11.
Rig 2: Windows 10 Pro | Intel Core i7-2640M @ 780/2800/3500 MHz | Intel HD 3000 Mobile | 8GB RAM | Dell Latitude 6320.

While the Classic Controller is recognized and working properly, the motion control is not deactivated and working as well, interfering with the Classic controls. I have no such issues in any other gaming using the Classic Controller. 02-25-2019, 01:10 AM
Did you make sure you disabled all the Wiimotes?
Oh, wait. You can´t. I wonder if you can use the GC controller. Rig 1: Windows 10 Home | AMD A6-1450 @ 600/1000/1400 MHz | AMD Radeon HD Graphics 8250 | 4GB RAM | HP Pavilion TouchSmart 11.
Rig 2: Windows 10 Pro | Intel Core i7-2640M @ 780/2800/3500 MHz | Intel HD 3000 Mobile | 8GB RAM | Dell Latitude 6320.

I was curious, so I experimented with this game. I'm not on the very latest build currently, but as of build 5.0-9494, both an emulated wiimote and classic controller, and a real wiimote and classic controller function properly for me. First thing you might want to check, from the main menu go to options, controls, and make sure "+ control" is selected instead of "tilt", and then save the options. While playing, I tested hotswapping with my real controller. Started a stage with the classic controller plugged in, then unplugged it. The game paused and brought up the wiimote configuration screen with the option of tilt or digital controls. To test, I set tilt and accepted. Game played fine with wii remote and motion steering. Then I plugged the classic controller back in and motion control immediately stopped and input switched back to my classic controller. So, while this may not help identify the issue you're having, I can report that game appears to work as it should for me.

Thank you for looking into it Matrix! =)
So yesterday I had some spare time to fire it up and test these control settings suggested, but out of the box it suddenly worked! At the profile selection screen, the Wiimote-mouse-cursor-thingly briefy popped up to disappear a second later and be gone for good. No idea why this suddenly worked without having changed any setting, but I'm happy now! Also edited the mentioned control setting, just to be sure. :-) |
