it's nice that you made these "fixes" as projection hacks...that way, they cannot make trouble in other games. they should be commited and taken into the dolphin code, so we don't need new extra compiles with this patch for coming revs...

The longer link only works when the anchor it points to is loaded on the page. I would implement a link-to-specific-revision function if I could, but with the limits of my current server I can't do that... yet. I'm working on it (12-03-2010, 05:13 AM)leobru19 Wrote: How i install this patch DKTOS in 6503 Rev?You have to know how to compile the source code to apply a patch. You can learn how to compile by going here. The only difference is before Step 4 you:

The DKCR patch doesn't fix the problem - quite the opposite: it's just a hack that removes the bloom effect completely, making the game less impressive (visually).
yeah right lol,it doesn't affect visual quality of the game
this "Patch" is hack as Many other. This patch does not affect game quality in any way This patch DOES fix the problem of doubling picture next please

yeah, well, hacks are just temporary solutions, but better than waiting for a real fix that might come in a year or whensoever

Me and my girl have been playing DKC and the doubling effect was an annoyance. I didn't think anyone would fix it because it was so minor. This doubling effect happens in Mario Kart and definitely aggravates me. I cant wait to try it out with MK to see if it fixes it there too. However, I need a build of 5739 with this patch to play MK as other revisions have speed issues. So... is it likely that compilers will be including your patches in new builds? I found the fifo one very interesting as well. I am going to try lectrode's build today and see how it worx. Thanx Again! 12-05-2010, 05:30 AM

I wouldn't say it's minor at all...actually, it's one of the most persistent gfx issues Dolphin has atm, considering how many big titles have the issue.
Oh yeah, right, I totally forgot to test if this helps those games, too ^^ Will do that now Alright, the hack does remove the irritating bloom effect from Mario Kart and Zelda TP...however, both games get new issues with it. Mario Kart has no more map and a black square under it. And Zelda has an issue with the sun. Metroid Prime 3 I didn't even get ingame, cuz everything is just black. So yeah, this hack is only good for Donkey Kong.

Why don't we just commit stuff like this?! It's just one more projection hack added to the list and it works great! What's the hold up on getting on these awesome patches around here part of the official code base?

I asked skid already. he didn't want to have these hacks in the code. dunno what exactly the difference is between these and other proj hacks, but I guess he'll have his reasons.
