I was also referring to my old Core2Duo E8500 setup. Although EFB to Ram is a bit slower now than say 1000 - 1500 revisions ago.
ZTP Proper map with EFB->Texture !?

I repeat: Quote:Depends where you are. It will rape performance in large areas like lanayru (or whatever it's called), hyrule field, or faron woods. My framerate in hyrule field is about 8 fps with efb to ram and ZTP hack, 24 fps with efb to texture and ZTP hack. A 66% drop in performance sounds pretty significant to me. And by the way this is with an sse3 optimized build. In most places you'll still be able to achieve fullspeed with efb to ram with a decent system.

Something is wrong with EFB to ram. I'm now losing 5+ FPS in ZTP with it enabled where there was zero hit speedwise in the past with ZTP. Is hybrid EFB to Ram still working? It doesn't seem so and EFB to Ram has become considerably slow again.

Is efb caching on or off?
Can you track it down to a specific revision? This may be a legitimate issue.

I asked neobrain on irc. He said it MIGHT have something to do with the recent change to the hash algorithm: http://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu/sou...ail?r=7060
Test 7059 and 7060

I think this goes back further than that. I've noticed an overall decrease in EFB to Ram performance for a while now. I just didn't think ZTP took a hit since ZTP doesn't heavily rely on EFB to Ram, I would think my i7, DDR3 ram and GTX 460 would be able to handle EFB to Ram just fine, at least for this game. NSMB is a game that heavily depends on EFB to Ram, rodolfo himself said this and that pretty much runs fine with EFB to Ram except one or two levels that have some slowdowns.

Well then try and track it down to a specific revision.

When HiresTextures is true the old hashing algo is used!
So for a small test you can activate HiresTextures and make sure there are no hires textures to see if it is the new hash algo... |
