I can get my wiimotes connected to my PC, but things are not like they should be. Whenever I push the buttons on my wiimote (1 and 2), then push the pair up button in Dolphin to connect, my computer says "installing device driver software," and that it's searching Windows update for it. It fails continually, but retries again and again. The only way for me to actually connect my wiimote to my PC is to skip the windows update process because, after skipping the windows update thing, it says that my device driver is successfully installed. Even then, my wiimote may connect on the first time that I skip the windows update device driver search, or it may take a dozen times. Rarely does it connect on the first time I skip windows update. When friends are over at the house, wanting to play Wii, this can be frustrating. I just want it to be quicker so that I don't have to look like an idiot, trying to hook up wiimotes for 5 to 10 minutes. I just want to push a button on each one, push pair up, and be playing within seconds. Could anyone help me with this issue? Is there something I'm missing here? Thanks to all who respond!

Btw, here are my system specs:
Windows 7 64 bit Premium ASUS USB-BT21 USB 2.0 Mini Bluetooth Dongle (Broadcom 2046 Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR USB Dongle with First Connect) MS Bluetooth Stack (I think? I'm not using Bluesoleil) Here are the rest of my specs in case you need them. You probably don't need most of them if any, but I just copied and pasted it from another file I have saved so I don't have to retype stuff. MSI 770-C45 mobo 8GB RAM AMD Phenom II 965 4x OC @ 3.9Ghz 3 1TB Samsung HDD's, 1 WD 160GB HD & 2TB WD external HDD Radeon HD 4870 1GB Creative Sound Blaster XtremeGamer 730W PSU Logitech Z-5500's I-Inc 28" and LG 22" Big-ass tower Windows 7 64 bit Premium But yeah, I got into Dolphin -> Wiimote settings, and press "Pair Up" as well as the pair up buttons on the wiimote in order to connect, and this is what I get. http://img197.imageshack.us/img197/7672/...update.jpg It's not until I press the link inside the red box in the above picture that the wiimote sometimes connects. Again, by pressing that link inside that red box, it may connect on the first try, or it may take a dozen times. I was reading another thread by searching, and it said that your wiimotes, once added (to what, I don't know), the wiimotes should automatically connect and rumble when opening the wiimote config menu. Now I've experienced this when all of the wiimotes are already connected, but never when they're just turned off. Are the wiimotes supposed to automatically connect when you open the wiimote config menu or at the very least connect pretty quickly when you press pair up in the wiimote config menu? 09-23-2010, 06:27 AM
Still having this issue with my wiimotes. I'd really appreciate some help from anybody.

I'm having the same problem, I just restart my PC when the driver "does not install successfully" and then it usually works. It's kind of annoying.
