Downloaded the latest version of the emulator, my FPS is now constantly between 40 and 60 while playing as opposed to max 27 on earlier versions - same PC, same everything. This isn't remotely surprising, I'm just dropping in to state it as anecdotal evidence in case some of you aren't calling Soul's bullshit internally - I assume you're all just being polite. The bug is evident with the hle plugin when the hammer touch the part below, this part rest blocked, while with the lle plugin this part goes down and up. It is something linked with the audio. Another evidence of this is that i've loaded a save state in this level, and the audio is remained blocked with a little piece of music repeated over and over, and the hammer has completely blocked, they now are still, very easy now. In the link below there are videos to demonstrate it DKCR Videos 01-30-2011, 02:04 AM

What you quoted from me was a valid statement at that time. Only has there later been the VBeam commit which sped up the game like many others. Also I'm not even sure what you're saying there...without saying what CPU you've got, it doesn't mean shit.

The game runs perefclty now with the VBeam option.
I get 60 fps almost everywhere, with a few levels dropping to 50. Besides 7-7 is possible, at least for anyone who has some grey matter. Even if the geyser stops, you can still make the jump with rolling and jumping at the very edge and using diddy. I myself did it on first try, but then again I beat the whole game with losing only 10 lives. KeithMarshall Wrote:umm...excuse me? 01-31-2011, 10:06 AM

Woah, can I be your friend!? But yeah, just now I managed to finally get past that damned geyser with an extremely tight roll-jump. Diddy isn't necessary even. Strangely, I saved a state just prior to making the epic leap of faith, and upon reloading all of the fire/geysers/hammers had stopped entirely...which was handy. 02-01-2011, 07:32 AM
This game isn't booting at all for me with 7019, it starts up and stays on a black screen at 60fps.

Level 7-7 is not playable for me.
When I passed the very fast hammers I get to the last geysirs. But they wouldn´t take me up. So I couldn´t reach the barrel for continuing. Any solutions without autoplay? You just need to go to the last barrel it seems like you need to be pushed in the air but the barrel goes up and down just time it right when the barrel goes up just use the turbo button and jump to the barrel in the air it's that simple 02-01-2011, 11:34 PM
