Many games were released for multiple consoles. The versions have minor differences, but my criteria to choose the best version is related to emulation. Consoles of the 6th generation and later are very complex and require a powerful computer.
We know that if a PS2 game has a GC version, the GC version is preferable because it is faster on the emulator. PS2 architecture is very complex and makes the emulation difficult.
1) Cemu vs Yuzu
Breath of the Wild and Mario Kart 8 are available for both Wii U and Switch.
Super Smash Bros Ultimate and Super Smash Bros Wii U are different games, but I don't need both and I would choose the one that runs faster on an emulator.
Newer consoles are more powerful, but handheld consoles are less powerful.
2) Xenia vs RPCSP3
Red Dead Redemption is an example of game that was released for PS3 and X360, but not for PC. Those emulators are in early stage and don't run most games well at full speed without OC, but they will be good.
PS3 architecture is very complex and difficult and, furthermore, PS3 is more powerful than X360. However, we shouldn't underestimate Xbox because the 6th-gen Xbox was expected to be easy to emulate, but its emulation has only advanced recently.
