Hello, this topic is not related directly to dolphin, but to the wiimote.
I'm connecting a wiimote on my Linux machine, which has bluetotth active the whole time.
I've paired the wiimote without issues (with the UI of KDE), so every time I turn the wiimote on, it connects automatically.
So far, so good.
My issue is when I do not want to use the wiimote anymore.
Obviously I can press on the button to turn it off, but it already happened more than once that I accidentally pressed another button when putting it away, so it stayed on the whole time, until either I noticed it, or batteries run out.
I'm pretty sure it should somehow be possible to tell the OS that if a connection is idle/no buttons are pressed, then disconnect the device, but I am not able to find it.
I've tried editing /etc/bluetooth/input.conf and setting "IdleTimeout=2" (for testing), but it did not seem to work.
But even if it worked, it would have been suboptimal, I would like to apply a custom timeout only for the wiimote.
With btmon I can see that something is continuously happening, I guess one of the two devices communicates periodically to verify that the other device is still there.
I suspect I'm not the first one that would like to organize my wiimote similarly, so I'm hoping to find someone with a setup that solves exactly this issue
Obviously I already searched for existing solutions, but every issue I've read about is the opposite: the controller disconnecting about some time.
