@Bobby: If you have textures in the "Load" folder (like the ones from this pack), then those textures won't dump and appear in the "Dump" folder. Not sure if this is your issue but it sounds like it.

Garteal, can I get a copy of those that have dumped for you? I'll try renaming my files and see if it changes anything.

Currently playing with HDfying the skits as well without the fankit set since it doesn't have every character or face from a quick search. Edit: I won't spend too much time on it though since it seems like you're working on it. I'll go play with the character textures next. 07-07-2015, 05:29 AM
Awesome. That filled in most gaps and seems to have loaded, but I'll need to hit a skit before I'll know anything.
I'm just putting together a few exploded higher res gifs I found on the internet, toying with leaving out the background and seeing what kind of results it produces. Not every animation was available so there are a few I may attempt to make myself. 07-07-2015, 05:47 AM
By the way since you don't seem to be aware of it. There's a way to watch every skit in-game at your own leisure by visiting Katz Island and talking to the grandpa @ the upper top-right.

It's been a few years and I completely forgot about that. I suppose I could download a save file so I could go there, but it shouldn't be much longer until I have the rheairds.
Looks like I finally made some progress. Some of my files were still named differently than what you sent me, however. Regardless, it was as Bighead said; I had the WIP files still in my pack and I think it was loading those first. Should actually be able to make some progress now. Cool, good to hear you've solved your issue. Just tried them here and they load up. Not sure if I like em without any background, but more importantly, they need to be cleaned up since there's some white outlines around Lloyd.

I've updated the ones in the folder and added a handful more. I put the background back in and tried to cut down on the white outlines without getting too meticulous (magic wand, expand+1 in PS almost does the trick).

Not sure if it's due to Dropbox, but you left in the white background.
And this might be a little nitpicky, but now the hair area looks a little jaggy. You can easily smooth it though without much effort (or a bit for perfection).
I left in the alpha channel background, that 'white' area is actually transparent and shows up that way in game. That's in order to keep the ratio for the original picture (200:243). Some of the other portraits haven't been done yet and they are a different ratio (when Lloyd is a bit more zoomed out and showing most of his upper half).
Jaggies can be smoothed later. I'm not making these from scratch so it's garbage in = garbage out. It's just a little higher res that what the game offers. They don't look bad in game, in my opinion, anyway. |
