My apologies if this is in the wrong section. I was told by a friend that I should really consider getting a development build since the latest Mac build is pretty out of date. I'm very wary of using development builds for anything, and I just want to know how well the builds perform. Are bugs and issues running rampant with each build? Or are they typically reliable? I have two copies of Dolphin on my computer, actually. One of them is Dolphin 4.0, which I use for most things, and the other is 3.5, which I use to play Twilight Princess because the water textures are broken to the point that the game is unplayable in the current stable.
My buddy said that the current stable is at least a year old. I checked and found that to be true, so I'm starting to consider using the bleeding edge version. But... I just can't get over my aversion to that type of thing. I prefer stable releases and reliability because my job requires me to utilize dependable software. I just want to hear some comments talking about how well the dev builds usually fare. I can totally overlook the occasional bug, by the way. I know that it's not perfect and that's why there's people using bleeding edge, haha. I just want to make sure it's usable and not completely broken most of the time.
