The directx plugin has been broken since revisions 461x T_T, so there is no copy to efb option.

What DX isn't broken your graphics card probably doesn't support depth textures thats all and there is a copy to efb option as well as a efb to texture, disable fog and show fps counter

Anyone have a save game file with the X-Ray scanner? I want to try something with the emulator.

Just thought I'd throw in my two cents.
I successfully completed the game. Average frame rate was probably between 58-60 FPS. Some rooms would absolutely MURDER the frame rate (the large room of Chozo ruins, for instance). But then OTHER big rooms would be just fine. Strange. Anyway, there was one graphical thing I noticed... Once you get the Phazon suit, whenever you saw an animation of Samus (getting onto an elevator), she had a sort of "glow" effect around the suit but it was doubled in size and offset to the right.. Played well enough for me to finish it.

Oh, also:
When you bring up the automap, the FPS dies horribly (down to around 23ish). Using the map is brutal.

Only in OGL, in directx it always maintains 60FPS, except in big areas where it drop to 35FPS but its perfectly playable, at least with my configuration.

Wow, I've been out of the loop for a while. I tried r4697 and there are some major speed boosts for this game. I played it 8 hours straight! Does anyone know if Metroid Prime 2 runs as good as this? I already beat MP1 a long time ago and have always wanted to play the second one.

Perhaps it's just me but using build 4460 this game is completely unplayable. Everyone in this thread is talking about how the game is fine except that it lags horrible, for me, the exact opposite. This game almost always maintains higher than 60 fps in dx and never drops below 40 fps even in the biggest rooms, but it''s completely unplayable. Random crashes and all kinds of weird graphical artifacts plague it (such as random colored lines coming out of the dying space pirates in the station at the beginning). I have tried everything suggested here, but nothing helps. Anyone else had a similar experience on recent builds? Also I forgot to mention the main menu runs at less than 1 fps and has completely screwed up audio for some reason.

Isn't that build a little outdated? 4697 runs MP almost perfectly for me, except for slow downs in big rooms.

I'm running version 4525 and it played fine.
I had Copy EFB to system RAM and Use Safe texture cache on. It played fine. MP2 plays fine as well. Near-perfect framerates. The only problem is the sound. Music plays until there's a sound effect. It'll then play the sound effects. When sound effects are done, it will resume the music. So basically, the sound is completely FUBAR--game runs fine though.
