Okay, that's worth knowing. Do you have a fifolog? I can test it to make sure it didn't get rebroken. Can you try build 4.0-1192?

doesnt work with OpenGL or direct3d backends on 4.0-1192 for me either. I'm loading the same save file every time instead of starting a new game but that shouldn't affect anything.
First link is a fifolog with 100 frames recorded and second has 15 frames recorded. Both recorded using -1192 build. Let me know if it's messed up / I need to record another, I am not entirely sure the best way to record a fifolog. http://bitshare.com/files/wxgxgfyl/HMmap.dff.html http://bitshare.com/files/9cwee8c8/HMmap2.dff.html 10-12-2014, 02:05 PM
Yeah, on my NVIDIA card it works, on my Radeon it doesn't. Thanks for your help. We don't know if a NVIDIA driver bug is causing it to work (when even the software renderer says it shouldn't!) or if ATI has a driver bug.

hey! i've gotten a bit stuck on an issue and didn't know where else to turn! hopefully someone sees this eventually.
so i'm playing magical melody on dolphin, its been a couple of weeks, everything is working smoother than smooth, and then i get to the pumpkin festival, last day of fall- go to the plaza, mayor gives me the power nut, and then the cut scene ends and im standing in front of the mayor, ready to run around and talk to everyone- but i can't! the game has gone totally unresponsive. the little character animations are still playing, but the game won't let me move or do anything. not an issue with dolphin crashing/freezing or my controller glitching out- the game just decided it didn't want to be played. i tried resetting dolphin and messing with the controller inputs but nothing worked. i thought, whatever, maybe its because of the power berry, im disappointed bc more stamina is always good, but just reload a save state from before i went to the festival and skip it. maybe it'll work next year. so i'm playing and a couple of hours later, winter 9th, it's the chicken festival and the same darn thing happens! i go to the plaza, mayor welcomes me to the festival and i enter a chicken, and then i should be able to move freely- but i can't! its unresponsive again. anyone have any idea of a fix for this?? it's really bumming me out- kinda don't want to play if i don't have festivals to look forward to! 10-19-2017, 11:17 AM
I have the same problem with ebeebee. Can't move after eating the Power Berry in the Pumpkin Festival. Still not fixed after 2 years. Well, I think it's not Dolphin's fault... a quick Google search reveals some players experiencing the same on the GC.
Managed to solve it... 1. Restart the emulation (no need to close Dolphin). 2. Load your save file via memory card and not save states. 3. Go to the festival and hope for the best (some say it's 50/50 that you get stuck). 4. ? 5. Profit. 06-11-2021, 12:27 PM
Hey all, just encountered an issue while playing HM:MM on Dolphin 5.0-13963.
I played for about two in-game days before this occurred: it was around 5:30pm in-game, raining, on Summer 12 or 13 in year 1. I had just gone to the Harvest Shrine (at 22 notes), ran back down the cliffs and hopped the fence between my house and the ranch to talk to Blue. When I pressed A to talk to Blue, the game visually froze for 3-5 seconds with the music still playing, then I got the following error: (https://imgur.com/a/wc4E4ov) The error is white text on a black screen that reads, "An error has occurred. Turn the power off and refer to the Nintendo Gamecube Instruction Booklet." With the sudden freeze while music still played, I wonder if it somehow triggered an anti-piracy measure. I've never encountered it before and I've played this on Dolphin/Gamecube many, many hours. |
