I have a Intel Pentium D 3.0Ghz and when I click on enable dual core, my cpu usage doesn't move. When I disable it, my cpu usage doesn't differ. My cpu usage doesn't go over 54%ish no matter what is happening in the emulation. Anyone have any idea wtf is happening?

with hyperthreading one real CPU can become in two virtual CPUs

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Int...processors Pentium D 3ghz chips smithfield and presler http://www.newegg.com/product/product.as...=INTEL830D http://www.newegg.com/product/product.as...6819116238 Pentium D is a family of Dual-core microprocessors based on Intel NetBurst micro-architecture. The Pentium D CPUs have almost all features of Prescott / Cedar Mill microprocessors - same size of level 1 instruction opcode and data caches, 1 or 2 MB level 2 cache per core, support for SSE3 instructions, Extended Memory 64 Technology and Execute Disable bit capability. The dual-core processors do not include HyperThreading technology. The Pentium D CPUs have higher power consumptions than Pentium 4 processors, but not significantly higher. It is dual core, Hmm which version of dolphin are you using. The only PENTIUM D that supports Hyperthreading is the EXTREME editions which clock @ 3.2ghz, 3.46ghz and 3.73ghz only download cpu-z and take a pic of it and let me see. Im sure you have a dual core unless you mistyped D instead of a 4. http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php Side note I think the smithfield 830 (if this is your cpu)has speedstep. Turn that off if i read correctly on this forum about it. "Enhanced Intel SpeedStep Technology (EIST) supported by: 830, 840 and all 9XX presler cores use speedstep "
