Because savestates are a little bit buggy. Save rather in-game.

Well i haven't made back to the Triet Ruins but using the LLE sound. It does sound A LOT better but holy crap I get crappy fps at times. I guess my system cant handle everything at max with that on or is DX9 graphic plugin more demanding? I ran the game fine with the HLE sound with the max graphic settings in the DX11 plugin was getting I believe 60fps at all times. On the main game menu where you choose new game etc etc I get 23fps during that.. I was like holy crap.
So at this point its either really good sound with lesser graphics or poor sound with immense graphic quality. Unless theirs a way to have both? 08-10-2012, 03:59 AM
Dude, ofcourse you're going to lag if you set SSAA to x9.
Your GPU simply isn't fast enough. Just turn off the AA. It's broken anyway. 08-10-2012, 04:04 AM

It worked fine in DX11... So its broken in DX9? What kind of a vid card you need to run it then? A GTX 690?!?
The AA in DirectX11 isn't SSAA, it's MSAA iirc. SSAA gives much better results, but is very demanding.
Do you even realize what you're trying to do? You're running the game at x4 its original resolution, beyond full HD resolution. Then you're trying to run it with 9xSSAA which increases the internal resolution even more. Are you not satisfied with being able to run the game at a 2560x2112 resolution without lagging? No GPU (at this point of time obviously), not even the GTX690 will be able to handle this. 08-10-2012, 04:26 AM

Oh no don't get me wrong I'm very satisfied and happy with the results. I found out I can run it it fine with 4xSSAA with no lag. I also just noticed that after a battle at the results screen that Loyd is outlined in red and is shaking a bit. Its not nothing major at all but its kind of interesting is all. 08-10-2012, 04:32 AM

As further observing this. it seems to only be in battles in the desert. I am now currently in the ruins and everything seems fine for now.
Here is the screenshot. http://i.imgur.com/mN3YT.jpg Good news. I made it out of the ruins fine. |
