Your release's features are really interesting and help a lot. Why aren't also in others releases by default?

To make it easy for me i modified the default values in the source code. I suppose not everyone is interested to do something similar. Nevertheless, a lot of the default values of this release did make it into the official release as time passed, so who knows what will happen in the future .
Fwiw, "Efb scale set to fractional by default for a speedup." is kinda misleading, since the official default value (1x) is most accurate and (apart from the ones <1) fastest one.
"Panic handlers are disabled by default, which means no annoying non fatal messages will pop up." <-- and there's good reason NOT to disable them by default, since we just end up getting tons of useless "game freezes without error msg" reports without panic alerts. "Dlist caching is on by default." <-- not sure if it's stable enough, yet. "Xaudio2 is selected as the default audio backend for windows users." <-- good one. "Disable audio throttle by default." <-- good one as well actually.. Just my 2c 06-22-2011, 12:01 AM
Oh actually, selecting XAudio2 by default isn't as good of an idea like I thought before.
IIRC, there's still some obscure bug due to which XAudio2 causes the emulator to crash/hang after starting/stopping emulation numerous times. 06-22-2011, 12:59 AM

I corrected the 1st post, it was a leftover from when integral was the default option. Expecting noobs to file proper reports is a bit much i think, and can create issues at times so i disabled it. Dlist caching is disabled in the ini database in cases that creates problems. Quote:Oh actually, selecting XAudio2 by default isn't as good of an idea like I thought before. I didn't even noticed that . |
