My ASUS x86 PC with 8G RAM has been running apps perfectly, but when it comes to emulators, it goes completely crazy! I have been trying to play some Wii games, but since my Wii is European, and I moved to North America. I found multiple emulators for different platforms, including Dolphin and CEMU. The main problem is lag, and the sounds are completely broken, but apparently lag is the cause. I have noticed that the lag only happens when I am running OpenGL (and Software Rendrer, obviously). If I switch to anything else but Direct3D 11, the emulator either crashes, shows a dark screen, or freezes. But Direct3D 11 causes next to no lag, with the sounds (mostly) fixed! One question, though. When trying out Super Mario Galaxy 2, the only game am currently trying to play, all overlays seem to be gone! First, the Warning screen at boot up is a blue screen, then the game title does not pop up, the pointer, the buttons, the text, the amount of Starbits, etc is all invisible! I can still use and interact with them, but any sort of 2d rendering seems to be neglected! Is this fixable (will run at 55-60 FPS), or should I stick with OpenGL (5-10 FPS)? Please help, and I will be glad to provide more information if needed!
Direct3D cannot render 2d?

I do know that Direct3D 12 can render 2d because I ran New Super Mario Bros. Wii with no lag and no visual glitches. So, what might the problem be, and how shall I fix it? |
