Using the latest everything for Linux Mint 19 (Cinnamon front end), I started dolphin-emu to configure a controller as is required by RetroPie, but the UI for the controller configuration is unusable. The rest of the UI appears to work just fine, except that everything is larger than expected. (Running on a 1920x1080 screen with no scaling enabled.)
Due to the complexity of the controller configuration screen, the vast portion of the UI controls are off the sides and top/bottom of the screen. My efforts to configure a controller on this machine even include installing the Windows version of Dolphin on my laptop and configuring the same controller using that. Once I was done, I copied the config file and revised the device for the controller under Linux. (Joystick device was confirmed to be correct using jstest.) Sadly, this doesn't work, and since I can't see the upper left part of the controller config screen, I can't select a different device if Dolphin were trying to offer me some other choice.
I also don't appear to be able to force the UI to be smaller or to scroll around on it.
If anyone has any ides to help me solve this controller UI problem or has a config file from a Linux install of Dolphin for a RetroPower Dual Shock style PSX controller, I would greatly appreciate it.
