I'm trying to set up my G29 for playing F-Zero and I can get it to control the game but I can't get any force feedback.

Use this post as a guide:
https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-st...ing-report You need to change GC controller setting from a Standard Controller to a Steering Wheel and then use "Constant" as the rumble type. 08-02-2018, 02:01 PM
I've been pulling my hair out trying to find a solution to this as well, using a G27 here. I've spent a couple of hours on it now searching through google to no avail and trying sh*t out for myself, and I think I might have found a fix. However, your mileage may vary.
After changing the controller type to steering wheel and setting rumble to constant, I was still experiencing issues getting FFB to work in dolphin 5.0. The solution that worked for me was to use Dolphin Version 4.0-4999 (https://dolphin-emu.org/download/dev/f7f...58d1c7c2c/), as version 4.0-5001 and beyond completely breaks the force feedback emulation for my wheel. FFB seems to be correctly emulated in this version for me. Unfortunately I'm not very knowledgeable with Dolphin so I can't confirm whether or not this issue can be fixed in later versions by extracting some sort of file or plugin from this older version and replacing the new one with it, or if this is simply a driver issue on my end, etc. EDIT: quickly tested F-ZERO GX and can confirm FFB effects work for me in the version suggested. |
