Tomas Wrote:if dolphin does give you problems then use ishiiruka even though they use hacks for performance
Please do not recommend forks! You tried to make something that's complex appear as an easy solution, which it absolutely is not!
Dolphin uses all of the latest techniques imaginable to achieve high speed accurately. But the techniques that make Dolphin so fast relies on extensions that only recent-ish (5-7 years old) video cards support. Ishiiruka trades stability, accuracy, and speed on modern hardware for compatibility and performance on extremely old hardware (7-12 years). If you are running any decent gaming PC, Ishiiruka will not give you any performance gains, and will cause bugs and other problems! The only reason to use Ishiiruka on a modern system is for the unique (albeit a little hacky) enhancements it provides.
Basically, users should only be using Ishiiruka if they know what they are doing. We do not want users confused by people giving inaccurate recommendations, so we established this as a rule that you must not recommend forks unless it affects something that specifically would aid them (and no performance does not count!).
