It happened to me yesterday too, though I was using Defender's version which probably shouldn't have made a difference anyway.
Current System: Laptop (Acer Aspire V3-771G-9875)
OS: Windows 7 - x64 CPU: Intel Core i7-3610QM 2.3GHz (Turbo Boost Technology up to 3.3GHz) GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 2GB RAM: 6GB 06-05-2012, 07:26 AM

I and my boyfriend bashed our brains togeather and worked hard on different methods trying to figuer out this perticular problem.
We tried different versions and special Dll's, cleared out the cache etc etc.. Atlast we finally made it by disabling Driver Signature Enforcment in the boot menu which made all the clearing game cache problems disappear from all of the different versions we tried. Remember that by disabling your Driver Signature Enforcment you allow all kinds of programs that's not certified by windows, to work on your computer, so watch out to not get any major Trojans because it would allow them full access. Moving on to how to Disable Driver Signature Enforcment --- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Start off by restarting your computer and as soon as you're Motherboard has finnished loading, cram your F8 key right before windows starts. This will bring up a boot menu for you to choose different boot options. Scroll down to the bottom of the list where it sais "Disable Driver Signature Enforcment" Press enter and allow the computer to start. Once that's done and windows has finnished loading, restart your computer again normally and then you should be ready to go. There's videos on how to do this all over youtube in-case you don't understand, just search for Disable Driver Signature Enforcment! Good luck and I hope this solves your issues! 09-07-2012, 11:23 PM
