Hi there,
Currently looking to build a media PC to connect to the TV and thought it'd be nice to run Dolphin off it too. I'm looking to use it to play videos (up to 4K), YouTube, web browsing. With Dolphin, I'll be wanting to play SMG titles, Xenoblade, Zelda.
Couple options I'm exploring
1) Asrock Beebox-S or Intel NUC
Links to products:

http://www.asrock.com/nettop/Intel/Beebo...ifications
Pros:
Small form factor
Low power draw
Cons:
Both run a i3-7100u. I understand U series CPUs are terrible at emulation. Are Kaby Lake ones any better?
Expensive - both ~$300 USD off Amazon. NUC is $500 NZD, Beebox-S not yet available in my country (New Zealand).
2) Asrock DeskMini 110
Link: http://www.asrock.com/nettop/intel/Deskm...sp#Feature
Pros:
Flexibility in CPU selection
Cheaper - about $250 NZD for the barebones unit. Plus another $80-160 depending on CPU
Cons:
Larger form factor
With both systems I'll be looking to put in 8gb RAM and a 250gb SSD.
Question 1
How powerful is the i3-7100u? Will it be able to run the above games at 1080p @ 60fps, or if not what can it manage?
Question 2
If the i3-7100u is garbage, I'll be looking at the DeskMini. I'm stuck between the Pentium G4560 or i3-7100 for the CPU. They look very similar in specs but the i3 is nearly twice the price. Is the i3 significantly better and enough to justify the price? I heard the i3 has AVX instructions, not sure what that is but from reading it seems to have nothing to do with gaming.
Thanks in advance.
