Playing Sonic Colors and usually it hovers around 26-30 FPS (the game runs at 30 FPS) but during areas with lots of stuff going on it dips down to around 20-23 FPS. I'm using the recommended settings, and I was wondering if there was any way I could get even a slight speed-up using specific settings. The skipping and slowdown itself doesn't bother me too bad, but the input lag that comes along with it is what is killing me (literally, I've died several times due to jumps just... not coming out in time). I'm willing to sacrifice graphics for performance. Also, yes, I'm running the game at the native resolution and not in HD or something like that.
Any way to get a performance boost over the recommended settings?

These questions I'm about to ask shouldn't be even asked. Anyone with common sense would've given as much information as possible.
Besides, it's stated in the forum rules that you should list your specs, build, settings, etc if you create a thread. Forum Rules Wrote:When creating new threads about dolphin, always provide a) your full PC specs (CPU, RAM, GPU, Operating System, ..) b) information about the Dolphin build used (version/revision, source, ..) c) Dolphin settings d) detailed description of what you're trying to do (e.g including the name of the game you tried to run and a screen shot of the issue if necessary). Ignoring this rule will get your thread closed and have you warned off. Without that we can't help you at all. 02-25-2013, 09:15 PM

I'm not really sure why my specs matter at all. All I need to know is what options to tick or untick that should give me a performance boost regardless of my specs. The settings are the exact same ones listed here: http://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?ti...nic_Colors Quote: I'm not really sure why my specs matter at allif you run Dolphin on a slow computer , you will get slow speed no matter what settings you use And I will read the rule for you : Quote:Ignoring this rule will get your thread closed and have you warned offRight-click the game -> Properties -> Tick "Activate Vbeam" . If you still not get full speed , your PC is no good for that game . End of story Laptop: Mini PC :: 02-25-2013, 11:32 PM

Don't create any more threads unless you plan on following the rules.
